The Hawco and Unada teams at Chillventa 2024

We were delighted to be part of Chillventa 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany with a stand focused on energy-saving components such as scroll compressors and EC fans.

Our expert team explained the benefits of the latest developments from Hitachi, Siam Compressor Industry (SCI), Invertek Drives, Unada, Blue Diamond and Embraco including: 

• New A2L models (R454C and R455A) for lower-GWP refrigerants which have been added to Hitachi's existing range of R290 vertical scroll compressors. These are designed for medium and low temp compressor racks, condensing units and large display cabinets

• An extended range of inverter-driven R290 compressors from SCI with five models available up to 100CC (with a sixth 130CC model in development)

• Three Hitachi horizontal ZS scroll compressors (9.8CC, 15.9CC and 20.1CC) pre-qualified for use with inverter drives from Invertek Drives

• The existing range of DPW horizontal scroll compressors from SCI with four models available between 22CC and 42CC

• A completely re-engineered range of fan packs from Unada known as the Lagrange range. Extensive research using the latest computer-adided and CFD modelling techniques has led to a series of incremental improvements being made to its fan design to improve performance. These include the introduction of dimples like those found on a golf ball to the fan impellers to improve stability and the the introduction of a larger 230mm sized fan. 

• Prototypes of a new series of larger 300mm EC fan packs from Unada with three mounting types suitable for heat pumps, condensing units and air handling units.
