HEAT PUMP & HVAC MANUFACTURING
We Supply Components That OEMs Trust For The Design of Heat Pumps and Other Heating Systems
Systems that are built for heating and hot water need to be reliable. We help manufacturers find specialist components that not only work effectively and efficiently but are made to the highest standards.
For heat pumps, the specification of the right inverter-driven scroll compressor and heat exchanger is crucial in achieving the required performance and reliability. By contrast, radiant heating or duct heating often requires customised heating elements to improve heat transfer to the surrounding air flow. We assist with the selection of the right components for each application - at a quality that will be designed to last.
We can also advise on the crucial specification of safety cutouts to make sure that these operate effectively to provide overheat protection. Given their importance, every thermostat is rigorously tested and complies with international certification.

Some of the Ways We Can Help
Assistance with Heat Pump Design
We work with heat pump manufacturers in the UK and Europe, helping them to deliver greater product efficiency. Our support begins with initial prototyping and continues through testing into production.
Our recommendations start with the choice of inverter-driven compressors and heat exchangers to achieve the required duty. A number of available options provides design flexibility.
With access to an extensive portfolio of specialist cooling components, including valves, line components and safety cutouts, we can help complete every aspect of a system design.

Adapting Heating Elements to Suit Each Application
Heating elements we supply for heating and ventilation applications, such as duct heaters, are often customised to optimise heat transfer to the surrounding air flow.
After selecting the appropriate power rating, the most common design changes are made to the size and shape of the element. We can also consider how quickly the element heats up, its level of energy efficiency and whether any special materials are required.

Ensuring Effective Monitoring and Control
We help manufacturers to choose the right component to monitor and control temperature ranges, air flows or the flame in a gas burner.
These components ensure the safe and reliable operation of many heating products, from gas-fired domestic boilers to electric duct heaters. The options available span simple analogue devices or thermostats through to advanced programmable digital controllers.

Snap Disc Thermostats for Boiler OEMs
Over the past decade, we’ve supplied over 600,000 thermal cutouts to UK domestic boiler manufacturers.
Manufactured and certified to global standards by NGT in Japan, these activate when the water pipe temperature exceeds 100°C, providing an essential safety measure.
The thermostat’s curved surface increases the surface area, ensuring a good contact against the pipe and improving heat transfer for greater accuracy.

Supporting Ground Source Heat Pumps
Based in Truro, Kensa is the UK’s only manufacturer of ground source heat pumps.
We supply over 1000 Sanhua check valves a year to Kensa, which control the unidirectional flow of the refrigerant through the system and prevent backflow.
These are used in the company's R134A heat pump range (3kW and 6kW) and their R407C (7 to 17kW) models designed for large and commercial buildings.
